Another way to see stuff from Grandmas Attic

I have taken the plunge just like Charlet (my daughter-in-law) did. I took out a site on Etsy. It's online store for crafters. Look for me at www.lesliemallett.etsy.com. I have two items posted to test the waters. Also look at Charlet's great earrings on her blog and visit www.The2ndfloor.esty.com - (her site). My first item was the nester's shown in the last post and then I put on my children's apron. Let me know what you all think by clicking on the comment section on this blog, please.

A Pretty Set of Nesters

I just made this pretty set of three nesters. They are three sizes, 18",14", and 9". I have posted the directions on how to make them on Grandmas Attic Web Site. Check it out at www.grandmas-handmade-crafts.com. You can use them to hold potted plants, crayons, pillar candles, cotton balls or a stack of small paper cups, the ideas are endless. Match your decor, make them out of fun childrens prints for their rooms or desks, and I made all three with a yard of fabric and under an hour! Easy gift idea.

A video of my Grandsons skiing.

Chris had this video on his website. I am trying to post it here on mine. Yahoo, I think I did it!
Hope you enjoy it too. Their views are fabulous.

Charlets Gift Challenge Idea

My daughter in law, Charlet has come up with a wonderful idea along with one of her friends from work. It's called a gift challenge and her tag is shown here. Here is how it works, according to Charlet...It sounded like a ton of fun and it made me want to join.

"I think perhaps 5 people read this blog, occasionally. I double dare you to accept this challenge. This game involves a few of my favorite things: handmade goods, creativity, and gift-giving. Here are the tagging instructions: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you.

3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)

4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!

5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog.

The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!

Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Good luck!

Designs by Nina

Little Abby (doll) came in to 6 year old Nina's store and bought a nice pink, purple and white lace dress designed and sewn by Nina!

Nina's first doll customer

Nina has a doll who loved her dress design and couldn't wait to try it on

Nina's new sewing project

Nina went through all my "stash" and picked out the design and fabric for this dress. She then helped cut and sew. Grammy helped with the hard spots.
