Opening Weekend

We had a great opening weekend at Grandma's Attic. Met some nice new crafters from all over the valley. Ladies from Harts Location to Effingham! Wow, I hardly ever get over to Effingham! It's the other side of the valley, we sure are happy with the response. This morning I had a bed and breakfast in Jackson (Carter Notch Inn) send their guests by to check us out. It was nice getting to know Beverly and Rick from Guildsboro Maine. They are quilters and bought some pretty fabric from me for her next quilt. Thank you Sally, from the Carter Notch Inn! Here is a picture of our yarn and fabric room.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

These flowers were sent to me by Chris and Charlet for mother's day. Meg took me to lunch yesterday and Nina and Billy Jack stayed overnight and took me to breakfast this a.m at Glen Junction. The flowers smell wonderful and are so.o.o.o beautiful. They match my Grandmas' Attic shop colors too. Thanks Chris and Charlet. Hope all you mom's enjoy your special day.

PROM WEEKEND!

Abby and Sam had their senior prom last night. The red carpet picture treatment started at Nena's and Alan's house....all the family including Pam and Dan (Sam's parents) were there and lots of cameras...I'm sure the kids were glad to take off 'TO THE PROM' . An elegant night at the Mt. Washington Hotel! Here are some pictures of the first Red Carpet. Then all the parents left before the kids to get up to the hotel where more pictures were taken as all the elegent young people arrived at the grand entrance with valet parking attendents waiting. It was fun to stand on my front lawn to watch first parents of KHS Seniors go up through then the promgoers in their various shiny waxed vehicles...(some limos)... go roaring by. I counted two corvettes (brave parents), two limos, one community church shuttle bus with a crowd on it, many shiny cars and of course in the North Country we must have had at least a dozen washed and waxed pickup trucks!!! Sam's was a fire engine red with a Harley Davidson sticker on the back windshield!
